Sarah L. Cowart, Owner and Founder

Sarah has worked with thousands of students as they balanced the transition from high school to college. She knows it isn’t easy. She's been there. And on top of that, she was a collegiate student-athlete. There isn’t a quick fix or even a magic trick that will make everything a walk in the park for your student. But she can give them the tools and strategies that will help them be successful in the classroom. She is passionate about seeing students achieve their potential. Sarah graduated from Auburn University in 2005 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She began her professional career as a Teacher and High School Soccer Coach. In 2010, she completed her Masters of Sport Administration at Belmont University. After graduate school, she began a career working in Division 1 athletics, taking her to Belmont University, The University of South Alabama, and The Pennsylvania State University. She has supported hundreds of students as they walked through their college career.

Lauren Losey, Academic Coach

As an educator for over 20 years, in both secondary and higher education, Lauren had the pleasure of working with students from all different walks of life. Two key elements that have remained true no matter the setting are helping students find their confidence in the academic world and planning for their future goals. As an undergrad at Vanderbilt University, she found herself faced with questions on how to better prepare for the week, when and how to study for exams, and how to put her thoughts to paper when writing an essay. These are skills over the years as a teacher, she has focused on to help pull out in others. In learning how to conquer these life skills in college, the student is not only able to feel more successful about their work but in the future they aspire to have.

Lauren graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2002 with a degree in Secondary Education. She began her professional career as a Teacher and Coach. Lauren holds both a Masters and Doctorate degrees in Educational change from Lipscomb University. Throughout her educational career, she has worked with students at The Ensworth School, Lock Haven University and The Pennsylvania State University.

Lori O’Donnell - Academic Coach

As a teacher, coach and mentor, Lori strives to reach every student where they are and help take them where they want to go. With 30 years experience in working with students, she hopes students grow confidence and self advocacy and improve their problem solving skills to meet every day challenges. Additionally, she assists students’ development of executive functioning skills in helping students with organization, structure and motivation in their long and short term goals.

Lori holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Temple University and a Master of Science in Education Development & Strategies from Wilkes University.

Holly Hendrickson - Academic Coach

Holly is a dedicated educator with 15 years of experience in teaching. Her passion lies in empowering individuals to reach their full potential and nurturing their positive qualities. With a deep understanding of the importance of time management and confidence, Holly excels in helping people develop strong organizational skills and boost their self-assurance. Holly's commitment to bringing out the best in others makes her an inspiring mentor and a catalyst for personal growth.

Holly holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Margaret Maynard - Academic Coach

Margaret has a substantial background in education spanning over 30 years. She has been a classroom teacher and an Instructional Partner with Certification in Instructional Leadership. Margaret has focused on cultivating relationships with students.

As a lead classroom teacher and Instructional Partner, she analyzed and interpreted data to develop instruction based on students’ deficiencies. She works to develop creative solutions to problems and enjoys watching students turn from learner to leader.

Margaret has an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Auburn University and a Master of Education from Alabama A&M University. In addition, she has a Certificate in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. As a mother of two, Margaret understands firsthand the challenges of balancing college life. Her daughter Amy is an Auburn graduate, and her son Sam is a senior at Jacksonville State University.

Amy Baker - Academic Coach

Amy is an experienced teacher, educator, and mentor with over 17 years of work in educational settings ranging from undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Louisville and Belmont University to Army Education STEM Outreach Programs at Fort Novosel, AL.

Amy graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, from Troy University with a master’s degree in Sport and Fitness Management, and from the University of Louisville with a PhD in Education Administration and an emphasis in mentoring. Her leadership and development of the Master of Sport Administration Program at Belmont allowed her education and mentoring research to become practice.

Amy is an effective leader and communicator with proven ability to guide and lead students to achieve their educational goals and objectives. Amy is passionate about preparing future professionals and works hard to inspire others to continue to pay it forward.

Sarah Adams - Academic Coach

With over 30 years of experience in education, Sarah has had the opportunity to work with various age groups in her career. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University, Louisiana Tech University and later obtained her doctorate from MTSU.

She began teaching math, physical education and athletic coaching at Central High School in Columbia, TN. Realizing her passion for helping students grow academically and professionally she transitioned into Higher Education at Austin Peay State University and eventually Belmont University. Serving 15 years as Department Chair of Sport Science at Belmont, she had the unique opportunity to teach, conduct academic advising sessions, participate in career counseling meetings and mentor young professionals.

Coaching and mentoring students in the academic setting has proven to be Sarah’s niche. She is passionate about helping our future generation learn and hone skills to successfully navigate their college life and careers.
